“Immersing myself in local landscapes and chasing sunrises and sunsets is why I am passionate about landscape photography

About Me

I am a self-taught East Anglian landscape photographer who enjoys capturing atmospheric coastal scenes amongst the Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines.

Why Landscape Photography?

My passion for landscape photography began from childhood trips to the Norfolk coast. The scenery is dynamic, filled with pretty coastal villages, flint stone cottages, and a diverse coastline. Little did I realize that over time a fascination with photography and the sea would merge. Introduced with a basic course in film photography at the start of the century. I became hooked and during my graphic design degree, I purchased my first DSLR a Canon EOS 350 D in 2007. I used my first DSLR as a point-and-shoot for holidays, occasions, and motorsport photography. As well as to assist in my studies in design.

After completing my degree. I found the landscape bug-biting. After an opportunity to work for a small print company in King's Lynn. A port town a few miles from the coast. Presented opportunity to visit the sea. I made a habit of it on Friday. As a pastime to celebrate the end of the week. Exploring the Norfolk coast, practicing and honing my skills by familiarising myself with many coastal spots. Each location had its own unique history and atmosphere. From vast mudflats to creek harbours and shingle sandy beaches. My love for the sea and photography combined.

With an urge to capture sunrises and evening sunsets. Camping suddenly became essential. Allowing me to travel further afield. by exploring further along the Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines. Both counties are famous for big skies and vast beaches. The English weather provides different conditions to photograph and as much of a challenge as it can be. The changes in natural light and conditions create fantastic opportunities to capture an awe-inspiring photograph. Which was the biggest draw for me.
