Happy New Year and A Review of 2018

Hi I m a bit late, but a Happy New Year to you all. I can’t believe 2019 has already arrived and as I m writing this we are already fast approaching the middle part of January. I decided to take some time off over the Christmas period and have only just returned to work. There are lots to do and I am still working on the last edits on a couple of cinematic films, along with a number of new galleries that will be added soon.

2018 has been a great year for me. As it was the year that I had successfully created my first website. It had been in the works for the past nine years and I cannot believe that this was the year it finally went live. Its has now been online for the past seven months and still there are lots to do. I’ am very proud of the work so far. But I know that I am still working on the basic foundations and will be adding more later this year.

Since the website was first launched I have already had one commission and that was to help shoot a wedding for a beautiful couple Jack and Jo. It was my most exciting and nervous experience so far. But a very good one, as it had taught me valuable lessons to learn and was also a test for my photography skills so far. I have learnt a lot form the day and ended up with some very good images, liked by both the clients and fellow guests from the wedding. This has already resulted in a new commission for a wedding later on this year.

During the hot summer I brought a lot of camping equipment and spent the long hot summer solo camping along the North Norfolk coastline. An experience that I have thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to returning too in the spring by expanding my visits to the Suffolk coast. It has allowed me the opportunity to capture some beautiful sunsets and sunrises amongst fantastic scenery of the salt marshes and beaches of the Norfolk coast.

The autumn months have been mostly spent inside working on a couple of cinematographic projects which are close to being completed. I did spend one weekend with a couple of friends at the beginning of October capturing the world famous Flying Scotsman. During it’s touring visit at Ferry Meadows country park. I managed to capture some really fantastic stills and film from this experience.

Well much to my surprise! 2018 has come and gone it been a fantastic year for me and probably the most adventurous so far. As its was my first year transforming a lifelong hobby into something more. It took some time and learning to get to this point. But I m very proud at what's been achieve. 2019 will be challenging due to lots of new plans, adventures, ideas, comissions and projects but with hard work and dedication, I know a lot more can be achieved.
